Classic Bahamian dishes with a gourmet flair and live entertainment for the perfect evening out.
Perched above the pink sands on the east side of the island sits a family-owned boutique hotel called The Ocean View. This boho-chic haven is more than a hotel and restaurant, it’s an experience. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and is served al fresco in a beautiful covered terrace overlooking the Atlantic. We highly recommend you try the local lobster and or the stone crabs with a chili herb butter sauce.
You can’t come to Harbour Island without visiting The Landing Hotel’s restaurant. This bayside restaurant, designed by India Hicks, is open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner every day except Wednesdays. Their Chai tea lattes and Ricotta hotcakes are one of our favorite ways to start the day. For dinner, the old Colonial home hosts a candle-lit environment that you’ll never forget. Make sure to stop by their bar behind the main dining hall, it’s one of the coziest in town.
The unofficial hub for the island’s old-world glamour, the Dunmore evokes the energy of a private beach-club in the 60s. The chic restaurant is open to the public for dinner (breakfast is usually only for hotel guests during the high season) and offers a blend of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine with a special touch of island flavors. While there is no dress code, we recommend button-downs and pants for men and a dress or blouse for women.
Situated in one of the original establishments on the island, Malcolm 51 at the Pink Sands Hotel features a gourmet menu that doesn’t disappoint. It’s bistro style menu offers island favorites like local grouper and has staples like grilled chicken and NY strip. Malcolm 51 is only open for dinner.
Da Vine is Harbour Island’s premier sushi restaurant and is known for being one of Jay-Z and Beyonce’s favorite spots on the island. Da Vine’s head chef is former head chef of Nobu and brings his worldly touch to this local hot-spot. All the fish is beyond fresh and goes amazingly with their signature wasabi martini.
The Pink Mermaid is a seaside Italian bistro with uniquely Bahamian sensibilities, classic comforts, and seasonal just-caught seafood. Located in the newly renovated Coral Sands Resort, The Pink Mermaid Is hub for captains, guests, and passers-through. Their lively dining room slings fare that combines ingredients from Mediterranean gardens with recipes passed-down from Bahamian locals.
Another iconic restaurant and longstanding institution on the island is the Rock House hotel and restaurant. Old-world glamour reigns at this beautiful bayside establishment that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Come early and enjoy a martini at their Al Fresco martini bar before indulging in decadent contemporary cuisine.
