After graduating, Palm Beach State College, Shaq returned home to do tourism right and facilitate a local economy. Tourism is currently 50% of the national GDP, yet rarely ran by a locals. Shaq saw this as an opportunity, but a difficult one. With guidance of his mentors and support of his friends and family, he started with luxury golf cart rental and has has grown the business into a full-service island concierge company. His dream is to showcase authentic Bahamian life from the local experience. Because after all, it’s an island ting.

We’ve pledged to support local organizations through monthly giving and also getting involved, whether it's providing golf carts or our boats for a school field trip to volunteering in the schools, we believe that actions speak louder than words. One of the greatest risks faced by our enchanted place is the threat of losing its identity. The best defense of cultural erosion is literacy. By investing in education, our community will remain impervious to foreign exploitation and be able to know and share their story with others. Education is the key to moving Bahamians into the future and becoming more competitive.
